The Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), a private university, based in Pohang, South Korea, is dedicated to education and research in the field of science and technology. It was ranked as Asia’s best science and technology university in 1998 by Asiaweek and from 2002 to 2006, it was ranked as Korea’s leading university. POSTECH was also ranked as the 28th best university in Asia by Times Higher Education and in the same year, the institution was named as the top 112 ranked universities in the world.
