Size-wise, the largest colleges by undergraduate student body are the Strayer University (40,000) and the George Washington University (10,465). While the smallest establishments include National Intelligence University (25) and the Corcoran College of Art & Design (385).

Cost wise, there is only one main public higher education establishment, the University of the District of Columbia, which therefore offers the the lowest in-state tuition fees ($7,000), though the Gallaudet university ($13,800) and Potomac College ($12,984) both offer the cheapest tuition fees for those from out of state , despite being private establishments.
