Considering that the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) was only established in 1991, its raise up the world university rankings has been outstanding; it is already rated as high as 53rd place by the Times of London, and is considered to be one of the best universities in Asia.
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ranking is number 15 in Asia in the University Review List. Similarly ranked colleges include Kyushu University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology, University of Tsukuba, and University of Hong Kong.
