University of Twente Information
The University of Twente (Universiteit Twente) is a public research university with the motto “The entrepreneurial university.” It is part of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities and it is the only university that provides a wide range of education and research in the Netherlands. The Twente university has Professor Ed Brinksma as the school president.

The University of Twente started as the Technische Hogeschool Twente which was established in 1961. The Technische Hogeschool Twente began as a vocational institute of technology.
In the year 2006, the University of Twente organized a Twente Student Review that publishes quarterly a journal that compiles work done by students of the university in every discipline.
Education in the university focuses on making a student act entrepreneurially, think internationally, and work across disciplines to be trained to become a professional and translate the developed advanced knowledge into practical ways. The degree programs in the University of Twente include psychology, business studies, applied physics, biomedical technology, and engineering. The applied sciences in the university emphasize on nanotechnology, information and communication technology, and biomedical science. The graduate and undergraduate studies involve technical and engineering services, business and social sciences, and behavioural sciences.
The University of Twente is composed of five faculties; these are in the fields of management and governance; behavioral sciences; electrical engineering, mathematics and Computer science; engineering technology; and science and technology.
