University of Southern Denmark Information
The University of Southern Denmark is mainly situated in Odense, having been formed from a merger of three educational establishments in 1998. At the oldest the university can trace its roots back to 1966 (Odense University). The University of Southern Denmark ranking is 96th in Europe. Other good colleges and universities in Denmark include University of Copenhagen, Aarhus Universitet, LIFE University of Copenhagen, and the DTU.
Today the university caters for around 19,000 students and its running is overseen by the rector Jens Oddershede.
In addition to the campus in Odense, the university also has branches in Copenhagen, Esbjerg, Kolding, Slagelse and Sønderborg.
The university has five main faculties, these being the:

Faculty of Health Sciences
Faculty of Humanities
Faculty of Science
Faculty of Social Sciences
Although most of the courses are of course carried out in Danish, the university also caters for oversees students and offers several courses in English, one such course of which the university of Southern Denmark is rightly proud is the European Studies course.
