Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences Information
The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU – Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet) is mainly located within Uppsala in the country of Sweden, although there are other campuses scattered around Sweden.
The SLU is publicly funded through the federal Ministry of Agriculture, a deal which has been in place since the university’s founding in 1977. Currently, there are around 4,000 students studying there, with around 3,000 staff members in various roles of education and practical research.
Other Swedish universities include Linkoping University, Umea University, Gothenburg University, Chalmers University of Technology and the Stockholm School of Economics.
The goal of the SLU is to build information and research into the natural biological sciences. Those that are interested in these subjects will have a great chance to get an intensive education not available at many non-specific universities.
