Osaka University Information
The Osaka University (大阪大学 – Ōsaka daigaku) is well known as being a national coeducational research university and is one of the oldest universities in the whole of Japan. The Osaka University ranking is number 3 in Japan, and 85th in the world. Similarly rated colleges in Japan include University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Tohoku University.
It has been responsible for the training and teaching of many interesting alumni famous people such as Osamu Tezuka (author), Heizo Takenaka (politician), Akio Morita (CEO), Hideki Yukawa (Nobel Prize Winner), Hantaro Nagaoka (physicist) and Koushun Takami (author) have at one point or another called the halls of Osaka University home.
