The George Mason University (GMU) is mainly placated in Fairfax, Virginia, about 15 miles from Washington D.C. Over the years, the George Mason University has had many fine people pass through its doors; being close to the capitol city has led to a large amount of politicians being amongst its alumni including Anna Cabral, Kristine Iverson, and Karl Rove. the economics department has been graced by two noble prize winners, these being James Buchanan and Vernon Smith.
