The University of Rome Tor Vergata or Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata, is a public university based in Rome, Italy. It is considered as one of the country’s largest research based institutions.

It is well known for its scientific studies and is titled as an international center for research and education. During the past years, the activity of technology transfer as well as the cooperation with other private and public organizations in various fields has seen the institution gain an increasingly important role. The University of Rome Tor Vergata’s hospital is considered as its flagship and is located in a 600-hectares-campus. The university was established in 1981 aiming to provide high quality education for students in preparation for the 21st century needs.
